This week I decided to cover one of my favorite songs of all time: Landslide by Fleetwood Mac (Stevie Nicks). Written by Stevie Nicks, Landslide has been performed and covered by many people. Stevie Nicks’ version of this song however is unparalleled. I hope my version doesn’t detract from the beauty of this song. Thanks Stevie Nicks for writing and sharing something so beautiful.
Fleetwood Mac Landslide Lyrics
Songwriter: Stevie Nicks
I took my love and I took it down
I climbed a mountain and I turned around
And I saw my reflection in the snow covered hills
‘Till the landslide brought me down
Oh, mirror in the sky what is love
Can the child within my heart rise above
Can I sail through the changing ocean tides
Can I handle the seasons of my life
Mmmm Mmmm
Well, I’ve been afraid of changing
‘Cause I’ve built my life around you
But time makes you bolder
Children get older
I’m getting older too
(Interlude)
Well, I’ve been afraid of changing
‘Cause I’ve built my life around you
But time makes you bolder
Children get older
I’m getting older too
So take my love and take it down
Climb a mountain and turn around
And If you see my reflection in the snow covered hills
Well the landslide will bring it down
And if you see my reflection in the snow covered hills
Well the landslide will bring it down
Oh the landslide will bring it down
