Court i definitely agree. I didn't mean to suggest that we flaunt our greatness... that might be seen as arrogant. My only thought is that we must recognize our own greatness. The worst time in my own life was when I thought negatively about myself. I refused to recognize the good along with the bad. Now I think it's all good (cause it's all me) but recognize that there are many things I can do better.

Ariane - thanks for reading the blog... sorry it took so long to okay the comment. If you read my current post you'll see how much I despise living online (although I think I centered more on the issue of poor communication through the internet).

I didn't do the conversation night, but I did do the dessert night and that was almost the same thing. I'll have to do it again.

Kalebarkab-

Good pop music can be hard to come by... I suggest checking out my own musice at www.myspace.com/jonpinney... (I know it's a shamless plug).

Other great musicians: Benton Paul, Marc Broussard, Corinne Bailey Ray, Justin Nozuka, and The Fray. They all have great music and are among my favorites.

Well there is definitely a line here though Jon, and not crossing it is the key. You can think that you are great, but telling everybody that you are takes the humility out of it. It reminds me of this great quote:

"Being powerful is like being a lady. If you have to tell people you are, you aren't." -Margaret Thatcher

See I have read your blog. You sister's blog has better pictures...but you do have some good content. I am ready for the conversation night. As for being humble, I think we have so many talents that most of the time we don't stop to recognize that we even have. We have been given most of these to help build up the kingdom of God and help those around us. We should be extremely grateful to a loving Father that knew we would need unique gifts to better our lives and those we come in contact with. Recognizing our talents really is recognizing the hand of the Lord in our lives. See this would be a great topic for the conversation night. I hope this shows that I can converse and I would like to be on the guest list. Thanks!
